ADA Web Policy and Accessibility Statement

The North Carolina Real Estate Commission is committed to making its website, NCREC.gov, accessible for all people. As of July 20th, 2016, any new section of the website will be accessible and conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.

Some of the design elements utilized on NCREC.gov will include:

• Text equivalents for non-text elements, such as images.
• Use of legible fonts and high contrast colors for easy readability.
• “Skip to Main Content” links at the top of each page to allow the user to skip navigation links.
• Online forms designed to work with assistive technologies.
• PDF forms designed to work with assistive technologies.
• Individual pages designed to be understandable with or without an associated style sheet.
• Keyboard accessibility.
• Closed captioning and text transcripts for videos.

In addition to ensuring all new sections are accessible, the Commission is in the process of assessing and updating all existing portions of NCREC.gov. As this process moves forward, NCREC.gov will be in various stages of progress toward our accessibility goal.
